Due to the lcd glass market is not stable recently, many customers go to Alibaba, Amazon or Google to find the alternative suppliers. When they got samples, they found the lcd screen can not work, technical support could be delayed, the project is urgent however. How to fix the issues? How to troubleshoot? You can follow the steps below to evaluate your display:
Step 1: LCD Physical appearance
Check if there any physical damage of the LCD display. Generally all of our TFT lcd screen displays are inspect before shipment, there could be a delivery issue during shipment period, check the LCD appearance should always be the first part.
Step 2: LCD Connection issue
Check if the connection between the LCD screen and the connectors is loose. Poor contact will cause “clutter” and “nozzle” screens which are the most common phenomenon.
Step 3: Capacitive touchscreen connection issue
Check if the connection between Capacitive touch panel with LCD display. We have some customers send us feedback that they connected LCD display, but CTP does not work, how could this happen? After checked their testing video and images, we found they only connect the LCD with connector, they forgot to connect the CTP together, touchscreen did not power on.
Step 4: LCD refresh rate/ resolution does not compatible with mainboard
Check the resolution or refresh rate of the LCD display, whether they set at a high level. If your resolution or refresh rate is higher than the resolution of the LCD display or recommened resolution, there may be a phenomenon of blurring of TFT LCD Display.
Step 5: Whether development board is powered on
In order to shorten the development process and test the LCD performance quickly. Customers may need a demo board/ development kit for LCD Display evaluation. When connect the LCD to the board, you have to check whether the pin definition is compatible. Did you follow the instruction of the testing board? If you do not have the manual, contact with your supplier now.
Step 6: Initial code issue
Do you have the datasheet of our lcd display already? Did you check the initial code? Generally when you receive the display, you can write the initial code to the LCD screen, it will be powered on immediately. If you have no idea about the code, please contact with us.
Step 7: Ask your sales engineer
