Step 6: COG mainbond

Pre-job
  • Check if the LCD lacks of pressure the IC.
  • Check if the COG has short glue phenomenon.
Post job(check items and indicators )
  • Check if the ITO has crack or short glue phenomenon.
  • Temperature: 300 plus or minus 20
  • Pressure: 0.15 plus or minus 0.02
  • Time: 7 seconds plus or minus 2 seconds

Concrete condition need to according to the golden ball particles.

Detailed description
  • Check if the ACF has been attached slanting.
  • Check the ACF bonding area has the air bubbles.
  • Check if the LCD has dirty point.
Operation procedure:
  • Confirm the pressure, time and the temperature parameters by engineer or technician.
  • Put preloaded COG placed in the left side of production line.
  • Left hand takes preloaded COG placed to the LCD platform of the drilling crew, in the fixed bottom.
  • Right hand press the vacuum key to open the vacuum and absorb the LCD, at the same time, check and confirm if the LCD has been placed to the right position.
  • After confirming is correct, both hands press “start” key, machine start to work, after reaching to the set time automatic rise, finished bonding.
  • Take out bonding COG, check if it have LCD, IC crack or less glue phenomenon, and then put it places neatly in the anti-static plate.
  • If discover any abnormal, shall immediately press the right hand side of the red stop button.
  • No abnormal phenomenon, repeat two to six steps, then to continue to operate.
Note:
  • Wear electrostatic ring
  • Finger cots have no dirty or damaged(2 hours need to replace a time), There is any breakage and dirty in the process of operation must be replaced immediately.
  • After doing the first inspection, then continue to operate.After both parties confirm the parameters and record it in the tally sheet of the machine.
  • Has been bonding LCD have to places neatly on the anti-static plate.
  • Each finished a plate of LCD, need to clean platform, pressure head and mould. (By washing ears ball, air-laid paper and cotton swabs.)
  • Before going off duty, worker needs to clean the drilling crew by pneumatic gun, supervised by monitor and technician every day.
  • Products shall have no accumulation phenomenon, When COG bonding; at the same time FOG is also proceed, in order to avoid produce defects.
  • Operating must have equipment and tools can eliminate static electricity, and these tools or equipment are on normal working condition. (For the human body or product which can be touched area.)

Processing method: If there are any abnormal inform technology, monitor, etc. responsible for personnel handling the case.

Step 7. FOG Bonding

Operation Procedure:
  • Clean machine and work surface, place items in order
  • Put the LCD in table and close up the spacer with right hand, then put FPC in sub-module by using left hand . After that, push vacuum switch with left hand to hold the FPC and watch display at the same time .
  • Regulate the mold place of X, Y, Q axis, make FPC alignment mark match with LCD mark (the match up rate must reach 99%)
  • After matching up, cover the silicone sheet and push the start switch to turn the turntable to do the heat press.
  • Take out the pressed semi-finished product and check if it is ok, then put it on production line Repeat step 2 to 4.
  • Record after finishing one procedure Make sure the parameter, time and pressure, never debug when the machine is working.
Attention :
  • Production person use the machine after the checking of technical person and self-checking the parameter,
  • Production person produce 1 pcs by using different platform, then asking the IPQC check, after that production , QC and technical person confirm if it is OK.
  • Different turnover plate should be distinguished for tracing the defect.
  • The bonding fide should be turned up after pressed
  • Check every plate, whether the tab has polarizer burned and the change of parameters
  • Check the cleanness of press head and plate
  • Must have the equipment of avoid electrostatic, which are working normal (face the contact area of human body and product)

Step 8: Gluing

There are two kinds of glue, one is silicone, another is blue gel . The difference is the color, blue and white . Whether use silicone or blue gel is depended on customer . The front of LCD use full glue to protect IC, the back of LCD use line glue to avoid air get into and oxidize glass . Set the LCD aside for 20 minutes to dry the glue .

Step 9: Attach Shade Tape

Before Working:

Check whether the glue was dried (Normally half an hour before) Whether the glue has bubble or broken Make sure the serial number of turnover plate.

Operation Procedure:
  • Clean machine and work surface, place items in order
  • Cut the sticky tape according to MP specification
  • Pick up one semi-product with left hand, use blade to put shade tape on the defined location by using right hand, pressing lightly after attachment.
Attention:
  • Attach according to the sample The sticky tape must be paralleled, without wrinkle or hole.
  • Avoid scratching of TCP/FPC and ITO when using blade
  • Never touch tape with the naked hand to avoid affecting the sticky of sticky tape by sweat and dust.
  • Must have the equipment of avoid electrostatic,which are working normal(face the contact area of human).
After working:
  • Check whether it is attached like the sample
  • Whether the sticky of sticky tape meet the requirements
  • Check the miss attach, whether the FPC is broken, oxidize…

Processing Method : If there is something abnormal, pls inform technical, monitor and so on .
